Port Aransas is located the on Mustang Island, about a half hour from Corpus Christi. It is on the Gulf Coast approximately 200 miles North of the Texas-Mexico border at Brownsville.
Settlement began in the 1800's and discovery is dated back to the early 1500's.
Port Aransas is known for it's friendly community, great school district, plentiful attractions, and, of course, FISHING! Port Aransas is located right on the Gulf of Mexico with the Intracoastal canal (ship and barge channel) running right through it.
The little fishing village can be accessed through Corpus Christi and down Mustang Island, or through Aransas Pass and across the ferry boat.
